These Vagabond Shoes
I like walking on dead leaves to hear them crunch,
licking the bowl clean when we have ice-cream,
the pitter-patter of raindrops on my window,
the sound of my polaroid,
memorizing quotes,
bathing my face in the sunshine
balloons in the air

Sydney/Singapore

So as i bid sydney goodbye, i am taken back 3 years with a suitcase in one hand and waving goodbye with the other. I was so afraid leaving then but now, i dare say, i can’t bear to bid my sydney goodbye. Trudging through the familiar streets, my legs in tacit agreement lead me to where my cravings will be met. oh how i will miss the smell of freshly roasted coffee, a good eggs benedict around the corner or the occasional greeting of “how’s it going” by a friendly neighbor. Nonetheless, sydney, of your cobbled streets and beautiful sunshine-y rays, you will and now for today and forevermore will always be my second home.

Adieu
